Clinical Supervision for Qualified and Trainee Counsellors

I offer Clinical Supervision to qualified & trainee counsellors, and can work with a variety of therapeutic modalities. I work towards ensuring that we get a good balance of working with the counsellor's own process as well as their client's, to ensure counsellors are working in the best interest of their clients, and keeping themselves 'safe' at the same time.

I strive to give all my supervisees a quality supervisory experience where they feel that they can open up and talk about their thoughts and feelings, in a non-judgemental and safe space. I personally know that, having that space can help supervisees flourish and grow in their own self developement, as well as in their therapeutic relationships with their clients, and in their own personal relationships with others.

I also appreciate that supervision is a valuable space for supervisees to develop and learn new skills and techniques, and where they need to feel supported whilst doing so. I always aim to give constructive and helpful feedback and guidance when needed.

As your Clinical Supervisor, I will provide a safe space for you to talk about the challenges and difficulties you face in your counselling work with your clients;  challenges possibly brought on by a client's experience resonating with your own.  We can work through these together, ensuring that your client receives the best ethical practice from you, and that you, too, remain emotionally safe.  Together we can discuss how your client work impacts you, how you feel, and help to increase self-awareness and help keep yourself boundaried and safe.

For trainee counsellors, I will help complete necessary reports for your course (fees may apply), and guide you the best I can to helping you along your learning journey.

If you are looking for a supervisor, please do contact me so that we can discuss your needs, and mutually decide if we would be a 'good fit' to work together.
